Manly struggled to "get off the roller-coaster" after their Las Vegas trip, but the Sea Eagles tip visiting Sin City could have the opposite effect on the Warriors in round two.

None of the four teams that took part in the NRL's first Stateside trip posted a winning record across the four weeks that followed their hectic travel, training and media schedules in the US last year.

Manly beat the Sydney Roosters in their first game back on home soil, before falling to Parramatta and St George Illawarra, who both ended up missing finals.

"(It's hard) getting off the roller-coaster from that high," recalled Manly winger Jason Saab, who played in the 2024 defeat of South Sydney at Allegiant Stadium.

"The travel takes a toll on you for sure, that combined with just playing the game of rugby league, soreness and that."

After enjoying a weekend off, Canberra, the Warriors, Penrith and Cronulla are beginning the process to acclimatise following their own Vegas trips.

The Warriors, by far the most disappointing of this year's Vegas quartet, host Manly on Friday for a chance to bounce back from their 30-8 loss to the Raiders.

New-look Warriors halves combination Luke Metcalf and Chanel Harris-Tavita struggled all night to assert pressure on the Raiders, who ran riot down the edges.

But even after experiencing a post-Vegas comedown last year, five-eighth Luke Brooks is wary of the Warriors.

"It could go the other way," Brooks said.

"They probably didn't have their best performance over there against Canberra, so I think their first game back at home, they'll be fired up. We'll be expecting their best footy."

The game will be the Warriors' first in front of their home crowd this season after selling out each fixture at Auckland's Mount Smart Stadium in 2024.

"All their fans and supporters get behind them," said middle forward Toff Sipley.

"They'll definitely be looking to right their wrongs from Vegas."

After uprooting to take part in the inaugural Vegas experiment last year, Manly reaped the rewards from an uninterrupted pre-season in round one.

Tom Trbojevic starred as the Sea Eagles rode a 24-0 half-time lead to a 42-12 thrashing of 2024 semi-finalists North Queensland last Saturday.

"This year, there's no real distractions," Brooks said.

"I can't remember such a good start to the year, but we need to back it up this week."
