For West Coast’s new No.1 ticketholder, the writing’s been on the wall - or more specifically, the Eagles jumper - for years.

The Hungry Jack’s logo has long been a staple on West Coast guernseys, including each of the club’s four grand final victories, and now, the fast food chain’s owner Jack Cowin has had his long-time support recognised with the honorary position.

Describing himself as a “dyed-in-the-wool, loyal Eagles follower”, Cowin said he was thrilled to be named No.1 ticketholder.

“I take it as a privilege to have received this and I’m very proud that my many years of being an Eagles fan has led to this honour,” he said.

West Coast chair Elizabeth Gaines praised Cowin’s loyalty and passion for the club.

“It is one of the most remarkable and enduring partnerships in Australian sport and we couldn’t be more pleased for Jack to become our No.1 ticketholder,” she said.

Cowin takes over from WA footy trailblazer Jan Cooper as West Coast’s No.1 ticketholder, with Rob Wiley, Sam Kerr, Julie Bishop and Daniel Ricciardo also holding the honorary position across the past decade.

While the Eagles change their No.1 ticketholder every two years, Fremantle have had Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker as their top fan since 2021.
