Indigenous All Stars: St Kilda Saints star Brad Hill makes surprise appearance at South Fremantle training

St Kilda speed demon Brad Hill has made a surprise appearance at South Fremantle training. Hill is back in town to play for the Indigenous All Stars for the first time in 10 years on Saturday night against his former club Fremantle. And he popped down to Fremantle Oval on Wednesday night for a run around with the Bulldogs. The 31-year-old even donned South Fremantle playing kit for the session. St Kilda’s players are on a four-day break this week. The Bulldogs posted a photo to their social media of Hill with some of his former teammates. The former Hawthorn and Fremantle player was at St Kilda with Matty Parker and the Dockers with Ethan Hughes and Jason Carter, who are all now at the Bulldogs. The star winger and his brother Stephen — who he played with at Fremantle — both played WAFL colts for West Perth before they were drafted. Hill arrived early for the All Stars game, with most of his teammates landing in Pert later on Thursday. Hill and his young family are staying with ex-Dockers teammate and close friend Michael Walters. He said he was excited for the chance to play in front of family and friends. “I love coming back home and it’s probably my favourite oval to play at — here and the MCG — so I’m very excited to be back and be able to play in front of my friends and family, even bringing my little family over to see cousins and Nanna and things like that. It’s very special,” he said.
