Days after launching Peel Thunder to a third premiership, Fremantle wingman Nathan O’Driscoll has signed on a two-year contract extension at the Dockers.

It’s comes on a Wednesday when the Dockers announced three players have extended their stays at the club with Pat Voss, Liam Reidy and draftee Ollie Murphy all putting pen to paper.

O’Driscoll was out of contract at the end of this season and as revealed by The West Australian had interest from other clubs including Port Adelaide.

He’s turned down that interest though to remain at the Dockers until at least the end of 2026.

O’Driscoll had struggled with persistent knee injuries this season but impressed in his two appearances against GWS and Port Adelaide in the final rounds before a brilliant WAFL finals campaign for the Thunder.

“I’ve transitioned from the wing to more of a tagging inside mid now. I think next year I’ll be a winger, but I can flip inside and if they need a role on someone, I can do that,” O’Driscoll said.

“I got a lot of confidence out of that game at the end (against Port Adelaide).

“I now know I have the ability to play inside and play a different role, which I’m really confident with.”

Voss, who joined the Dockers through the pre-season supplementary signing period last year, has inked a two-year deal that will lock him away until the end of 2026.

Reidy has signed a one-year extension for next season after he made his AFL debut late this year while Murphy has added another year to his contract after being recruited with pick No.41 in last year’s draft.

Voss, 21, was the surprise packet for the Dockers this year after kicking seven goals in as many games, having been delisted by Essendon last year.

“Coming over to WA to begin with, I didn’t know where it was going to end. It could have ended in February,” Voss said.

“I’ve absolutely loved my time over here. I feel like I’m developing really well and some of the outcomes I’ve been able to get this year has been amazing so yeah, I’ve loved my year.

“(Making my AFL debut) was definitely the best moment of my footy career — and probably my life — with the joy it brings to everyone around you.

“I’ve still got a lot of work to go on it — and my fitness — which is key over this off-season break going forward.”

Reidy, who was picked up in the 2022 rookie draft from Frankston, made his AFL debut in round 23 against Greater Western Sydney, playing the final two games of the season before playing a pivotal part in Peel Thunder’s third WAFL premiership.

“I’m excited to get into it, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind (couple months) to be honest,” Reidy said.

“Working my butt off in pre-season and then playing through the season, signing another contract and obviously making my AFL debut was special.

“Playing the last couple of games of the AFL season was really good. I learned plenty and I’m eager to get stuck into next year and see what’s ahead.”

Murphy, 19, is yet to make his debut, but the 200cm defender has impressed in 10 league games for the Thunder this year as he continues his development.

“I’m super stoked. It’s been a good first year and the transition has been smooth since coming over from Melbourne,” he said.

“Being able to learn off the defenders, being able to develop my craft at Peel and play some good footy there - I’m just trying to get better every day.”
