Wanneroo crash: 24-year-old man fighting for life in hospital after hatchback collides with truck

A young man is fighting for life after being thrown from his car after it collided with a truck on Wednesday afternoon. Police are seeking information regarding the incident after a red Mitsubishi Colt hatchback and a silver Isuzu tray-top vehicle towing a blue trailer collided at the intersection of Dundebar and Franklin Roads in Wanneroo around 1.35pm. “The 24-year-old male driver of the hatchback was thrown from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries,” a police spokeswoman said. The 24-year-old was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital where he remains in critical condition on Thursday afternoon. A 53-year-old man driving the truck and his 54-year-old male passenger were uninjured.
