Mark, Brent LeCras set for finals action in first season back with Cervantes in Central Midlands Coastal
Former AFL players Mark and Brent LeCras will be playing finals footy in their first season back in the bush.
The brothers’ Cervantes side has made the first semifinal and will play Dandaragan next Saturday.
The Tiger Sharks finished the regular season in third place, with Moora and Lancelin Ledge Point wrapping up the top two spots well in advance, but go into what should be a winnable match-up against a Saints side that finished with half their points total for the season.
Brent LeCras had a relatively muted game in front of goal in the final home-and-away game of the season two weekends ago, kicking three, but still had the second-highest scorer for his club and fifth-highest in the league, scoring 26 after playing only four games.
Mark LeCras kicked 12 goals in three games to finish fourth on the scorers’ list for the Tiger Sharks.
Lancelin Ledge Point’s Jordan Adamson-Holmes booted 49 goals to lead the league.
Moora’s Kurt Tanner topped the best list ahead of Cervantes’ Jacob Green, Dandaragan’s Todd Kenny and Jurien Bay’s Noel Mancuveni.
Coorow-Latham are top in the North Midlands with two rounds to go.
