Police investigate serious assault on 71yo Carnarvon man

Police are investigating a serious assault on a 71-year-old man in Carnarvon last night.

Police said the victim was outside a hotel on Olivia Terrace when he was approached by another man, who chased and then assaulted him outside the Carnarvon Civic Centre on Camel Lane about 6.20pm.

His attacker is described as fair skinned, of large stocky build, with dark hair and a full beard.

He was wearing a grey singlet and camouflage shorts.
