Reigning premiers Carnamah-Perenjori put ladder leaders Coorow Latham to the sword after pulling out a close 14.8 (92) to 11.14 (80) win at the weekend.

At Watheroo Sports Ground, it was the Kangaroos who claimed the win despite a poor start.

Coorow got the jump early, establishing a 28-9 lead in the first quarter at home.

However, they were outpaced in the second quarter kicking just 1.4 while Carnamah erased the deficit with a five-goal term to take a two-point lead at the main break.

The game stayed within striking distance in the third, with Carnamah only maintaining a five-point lead, but the final quarter is where they were able to break away, taking the 12-point win.
