Ugle Fabrications La Fiamma have lowered their colours on the road, going down against Northern City 0-5 on Sunday.

In their first away game since June 23, the Reds could not get the job done over the league heavyweights.

La Fiamma had little answers for Northern City, giving up three goals in the first half including a late score in the 45th minute before half-time.

The City side currently sit second on the ladder and La Fiamma had the chance to steal their spot, but taking the win on the road was a tall task.

In their first contest this season in Geraldton, Northern City won 1-0, but they had no trouble scoring at home.

The Reds squad was missing captain Lachlan Gray, but enjoyed the addition of leading scorer Hayden Boffey, however it was not enough as the Geraldton team returned home without any points.

La Fiamma are back home on the weekend, facing a Perth Royals side that just drew against ladder-leaders Bayswater City in the previous round.

A win could let La Fiamma shoot back up into third place on the ladder, putting pressure on the home clash at Salvatore Sciuto Stadium which is set to kick off at 7pm on Saturday.
