Geraldton’s All Ability Day celebrates International Day of People with Disability with event for everyone
Queens Park was the venue for a celebration for All Ability Day last Friday to commemorate International Day of People with Disability.
Drumming, karaoke, market stalls, a photo booth, firefighters and animals were just some of things people could do and see on the day.
The free event, hosted by the City of Greater Geraldton each year, encourages inclusiveness and challenges pre-conceptions around disability.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said this year’s All Ability Day was very well attended and offered a fun day out for many.
“The All Ability Day is a fantastic event that we look forward to each year,” he said.
“This year was a roaring success with so many of our wonderful community groups coming together to ensure that a great time was had by all.
“Thank you to everyone who was part of the day and especially to those who donated their time and made the event such a triumph.”
