A group of farmers is leading the way in fund-raising efforts for the annual Relay for Life Mid West.

This year’s event will be on October 21-22 at the GBSC Sports Park and teams are already busy with their fundraising efforts.

The Ploughmen team, a group of 17 Mingenew and Dongara farmers, have so far raised more than $9000 for the annual fundraiser for the Cancer Council.

Their big-ticket fundraiser, the Ploughman’s Lunch, was held earlier this month at Wyefarm Dongara and raised more than $2350.
