Speaking to the media this afternoon, Premier Mark McGowan confirmed a crew member aboard a bulk carrier was taken to the local hospital after becoming unwell.

Mr McGowan said the man was “only attended to by fully-vaccinated staff” and no other crew members had reported feeling unwell.
The man is no longer in Geraldton and will be treated further at a Perth hospital.
Mr McGowan said no new local cases of COVID-19 had been recorded overnight and all the close contacts from the northern suburbs cluster had tested negative to the virus.
He also said more than 93 per cent of the 2,815 casual contacts had tested negative to COVID-19.
Perth and Peel will transition to “lighter restrictions” from midnight, with masks still required for indoor activities.
Perth and Peel residents will be allowed up to 30 people in their homes (as opposed to the current limit of 10) and those in hospital or aged care facilities can have four visitors a day.
The 4sqm rule will be revised down to 2sqm for businesses, including beauty and hair salons, and indoor fitness classes will be allowed to take place once again.
Optus Stadium and RAC Arena will be able to operate at 50 per cent capacity and concerts, cinemas and theatres will also be allowed to operate at up to half capacity under the new rules.
Mr McGowan said it was expected WA would return to phase five on July 12, allowing events to be held at full capacity and paving away for all AFL games to go ahead with a full crowd.
