Christmas Messages: More work to be done in 2023, writes North West Central representative Merome Beard
As we head into 2023, I’d like to thank you for your support since recently becoming your new Member for North West Central.
It’s been a busy few months since I was elected but I’ve already been able to put some of the issues which matter most to you under the spotlight — from raising youth crime in Parliament to calling for clarity around funding for next year’s solar eclipse and progress around cyclone Seroja in Kalbarri, and highlighting the deficits around regional health services and infrastructure across the regions such as the Meekatharra, Tom Price and Paraburdoo hospitals and maternity services in Carnarvon.
Next year, I’m looking forward to continuing to work with all of our communities in North West Central to deliver better outcomes for the entire region and to continue to hold the Government to account — I look forward to catching up with you in 2023.
Wherever you are in our vast electorate, the festive period is a great time to pause and reflect on the past year as well as look forward to the new year — 2023 will be an exciting year for the Mid West and Gascoyne!
Remember to drive safely across our wonderful region as you visit friends and family, or as you venture to some of our amazing holiday destinations.
Have a very happy Christmas and new year and please stay safe!
