Students at Eneabba Primary School said “no way” to bullying last month and painted a water tank with anti-bullying messages.

The students joined 4574 Australian schools in the Federal Government’s National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence initiative, designed to curb nasty actions and behaviour.

According to the Government, a 2009 study indicated frequent school bullying was highest among Year 5 and Year 8 students.

It also showed peers saw 87 per cent of bullying interactions and played a central role in the bullying process.
