Harvey Vet Hospital welcome community into their practice for grand opening ceremony

Harvey’s newest vet practice opened their doors at the weekend to let the community explore their new facilities. Harvey Vet Hospital hosted a community open day on Saturday, with a host of experts offering their advice to best support furry friends. The clinic had a special guest in Pets and Vets’ owner Rick Fenny, who is the vet of WA’s iconic Red Dog. The event also doubled as the official opening where vet manager Emma Kennare, Dr Fenny and the Harvey shire president Michelle Campbell all cut the ribbon. After touring the facility, Cr Campbell said she was impressed with the facilities and expressed how important it was for the community to have the new facility. “What a fantastic facility it is,” she said. “I’m sure it will be very well received by the Harvey community. “If I was a pooch or a cat, I know I’d be very happy to be coming along here and having access to such a fabulous facility.” Rick Fenny Group general manager Celeste Holtzhausen said she was thrilled to be able to show the community around their new clinic. “We’re here to service the community, the wider community and the surrounding community, and we just want people to know about us - know what our facilities are like and why they should come and visit us,” she said. “It’s a beautiful facility and being in the centre of town it’s really convenient to be able to visit.” Ms Holtzhausen said they had seen great support since the vet became operational in October last year and are now gearing up to expand their services. “We only do small animals at the moment, but early next year we’ll start doing mixed animals,” she said. “We actually have a mixed vet coming on board, so we’re quite excited that we’ll be able to offer an additional service.”
