As the Geraldton water polo season enters its fifth round this weekend, ladder positions are starting to settle and each team is hungry for another victory.

In the men’s A-grade, Demons will face off against the unbeaten B52’s on Saturday. Demons come into this game fresh from a solid win against Rats, though the sting of their round two defeat by the B52’s likely lingers.

B52’s, who have fought hard to maintain a spotless record, will look to key players Kurt Tunbridge, Leo Prout and Drew MacGregor to keep their momentum going and apply pressure to the Demons’ defence.

Meanwhile, Rats will take on the composite side, also on Saturday, hoping to bounce back and strengthen their standing on the ladder.

In women’s A-grade games on Saturday, B52’s are also on a winning streak, boasting four victories from four matches. Set to play the composite side, they’re planning to give some of their reserve players valuable game time.

Demons, still reeling from a recent loss to B52’s, will be facing the Rats.

Sisters Abbie and Sian MacDonald are yet to fully click into their trademark synergy, but if they can regain their rhythm, they’ll pose a strong test for Rats.

The women’s B-grade has Demons as the team to beat, carrying an unbeaten record into their match against Rats.

B52’s will play Serpents, who are still looking for their first victory of the season.

In the men’s B-grade, the B52’s continue their perfect record and will face Relics in a highly anticipated derby game.

On Friday night, Demons will play Rats in a match that could further shake up the standings.

The women’s C-grade games on Saturday will feature Rats Black against Rats Orange, Demons Black taking on Serpents Blue, and Demons Yellow up against the B52s.

In the men’s C-grade, Rats take on Demons, with both sides eager to gain some momentum in the season’s early stages, while B52’s sit this round out with a bye.
