Two people have been killed after a tree fell on their car in a shocking freak accident in the South West.

The grey Isuzu ute was travelling west on Graphite Road near Burnside Road in Deanmill when the “large tree” fell on the vehicle about 3.30pm on Wednesday.

Tragically, the 78-year-old woman behind the wheel and her 75-year-old male passenger died from their injuries.

Major crash detectives will conduct an examination at the scene.
