Six of Perth’s best night markets
Take the night off from cooking and enjoy the almost-summer weather with dinner at one of these outdoor food fiestas.
Rockingham Twilight Summer Market
November 29
The free event returns to the Syren Street precinct from 4pm to 9pm, with delicious food options and local retailers offering a local spin on the Black Friday sales. Think of it as a chance to get a head-start on your Christmas shopping while also enjoying dinner by the sea. Food vendors include Two Fat Indians, Cave Man BBQ, Martini & Co and Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co.
Stirling Street Food
Various
From Yokine and Carine to Butler and Yanchep, this popular family-friendly food-truck series takes over various suburban locations from 5pm to 8.30pm on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. Expect an impressive array of eats including Canarian Cuisine, FIFO Wings, Yung’s Kitchen and The Good Twisted Potato.
South Perth Streats
Thursdays to Sundays
Arguably Perth’s most picturesque night market, South Perth Streats has returned to Sir James Mitchell Park on the foreshore with a roster of more than 50 vendors setting up from 5pm to 8.30pm every Thursday to Sunday until April. Could there be a prettier backdrop for a picnic dinner?
Inglewood Monday Night Markets
Mondays
The long-running (and long, period) Monday-night foodie favourite takes over the Inglewood Town Square area of Beaufort Street and its surrounds from 6pm to 9pm each Monday to April, offering an irresistible alternative to cooking. What more could you want on a Monday? It’s even dog-friendly.
Twilight Food Market
Fridays
Looking for dinner on a budget? There’s endless options at Perth’s biggest street food market in Forrest Place in the CBD, from Filipino Favourites and Taco Daddy to Big Slice WA and Pasta e Fagioli. Food is served every Friday from 4.30pm and the markets run until the end of March.
Scarborough Sunset Markets
Thursdays
Though the winter edition is epic, the summer instalment is even better. Running to the end of April, the Scarborough Beach amphitheatre turns into one big open-air restaurant every Thursday from 5pm to 9pm, meaning dinner is sorted whether you’re in the mood for burrata, bao, Polish zapiekanka or Dutch pancakes.
