Offering families everything they need over two levels instead of one, the Palladian marks a major milestone in the 33-year history of Dale Alcock Homes.

It is the dawn of a new era for Dale Alcock Homes, with the introduction of its first two-storey display – Palladian.

On display in Treeby, this street-smart four-bedroom, two-bathroom design is the award-winning homebuilder’s first two-storey display.

ABN Group Managing Director and Dale Alcock Homes Founder Dale Alcock said going up a level was a natural evolution for the business.

“Our commercial construction teams have been building two-storey homes for many years, but the time had come to show our new homes clients what we can do in this arena,” he said.

“Now they get even more design choice when they choose to build with us.”

One of 12 new two-storey designs from Dale Alcock Homes, the Palladian is perfectly in tune with the modern lifestyle.

Contemporary styling with an urban edge highlights generous spaces for entertaining, everyday living and kids’ activities, and even exercising and working from home.

“We’re definitely noticing a shift in the way people are thinking about what they want out of their new home,” Mr Alcock said.

“The Palladian demonstrates the flexibility they’re looking for so their home can easily adapt, whether that’s over the course of the day or over the longer term.

“And as a home to socialise in and have friends over, the Palladian really works on that score too.”

With the master suite downstairs and the kids’ bedrooms and activity room upstairs, Dale Alcock Homes Design and Drafting Manager John Care said there was also the zoning that many families looked for.

The sleek master suite downstairs is the perfect parents' retreat, featuring double basins, a freestanding bath and modern black tapware and detailing.

“Not only does the Palladian showcase a popular layout, but over two storeys it offers a huge amount of adaptable living space on a 15m by 30m block while still leaving room for a pool or a backyard the kids can play in,” he said.

The multi-purpose room off the living area is a prime example of day-to-day adaptability. In the morning it’s the yoga room, opening up seamlessly to the alfresco later in the day, so the two spaces can become one for indoor/outdoor entertaining.

“You can be outside chatting and eating with friends but still all enjoy the footy on the TV, for example,” Mr Care said.

A conversation area with a firepit is the focal point of the backyard, allowing for a cosy spot to ponder life or entertain friends.

The conversation zone with a firepit and sculptural seating extends the entertaining zone even further.

A spacious living and dining area, a stylish kitchen with a scullery, and a study big enough for two work stations complete the downstairs zone.

Upstairs is all about the younger members of the family, with an open-plan activity space featuring a striking graffiti wall, three double bedrooms, plus a family bathroom with a freestanding bath.

Design ideas to look out for in the Palladian include barn doors to the multi-purpose room, industrial-inspired black fixtures and fittings, a mini drop zone with drawers in the hallway, feature screens and a bold choice of wallpapers. There’s even some sneaky extra storage built into the roof space, accessed via one of the wardrobes.

Outside, bold angles, wide weatherboards and stone cladding combine for contemporary street style. Plans for a five-bedroom and six-bedroom version of the Palladian are available.

The Palladian is open for viewing on Wednesdays from 2-5pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 12-5pm. The display is also open by appointment.
